IELTS
IELTS stands for International English Language Testing System and is used as an English proficiency test for international students who are applying to higher education in countries where English is the main language.
IELTS is one of the most widely accepted and recognized standardized tests for English language proficiency.
Eligibility:
- The person should be at least 16 years.
TOEFL
The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is a standardized test that measures the ability of non-native speakers of English to use and understand English as it is spoken, written, and heard in the United States. It was first administered in 1964 as a way to measure the English language proficiency of students applying to universities in the United States.
It was created by the Educational Testing Service (ETS), an independent organization that creates and administers standardized tests. It is designed for people whose native language is not English and who have not lived in an English-speaking country for a certain length of time.
Eligibility:
- The person should have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or university.
GRE
GRE, or the Graduate Record Examination, is an exam that is required of almost every prospective student who is applying to a graduate program that is offered outside of their home country. Usually, students must take this test in order to be considered for acceptance. They also may be required to retake the GRE in order to be admitted to a specific program or as a requirement for a specific school. GRE was developed in 1949 by the Educational Testing Service. The exam was originally developed to test verbal, quantitative and analytical skills that some students may lack in order to be successful in a graduate program.
Eligibility:
- Anybody can apply irrespective of age and qualification
GMAT
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is an English language standardized test for prospective business school students. It was developed in 1994 and was first administered in 1996 by the Graduate Management Admission Council, a nonprofit organization based in the United States. There are two forms of the GMAT exam, the GMAT and the GMAT.
The first form is intended for those who have recently completed their undergraduate studies and the second form is intended for those with significant work experience. In the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and some other countries, acceptance to an MBA program is based in part on the GMAT score. Although the GMAT was originally designed as a measure of aptitude, in recent years it has been established as a valid predictor of success in the first year of an MBA program.
Eligibility:
- The person with a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute.
PTE
Pearson English Language test (PELT) is a test designed to assess English language proficiency among non-native speakers. The test is developed, published and administered by Pearson. The test is designed to measure English language proficiency among non-native speakers, in comparison to native English speakers. Pearson is one of the world’s largest education companies, with a presence in over 70 countries.
It has a significant presence in the United States, where it manages operations including the development of curriculum, the adoption of textbooks, and the design of testing materials.
Eligibility:
- The person should be over 16 years of age. (For candidates aged 16 to 18 years must have filled a parental consent in advance)
